Kelly Dawe Named First Recipient of Georgia Research Alliance Distinguished Investigator Award

R. Kelly Dawe, a professor of plant biology and genetics, has been named the first Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Distinguished Investigator, awarded to those who demonstrate outstanding work in either the biosciences or advanced communications and computing.

Third-Year Genetics Major Awarded a Crane Leadership Scholarship

Kurinji Pandiyan, a third-year genetics major from Chennai, India was awarded the 2005-2006 William Moore Crane Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes Honors students who have a demonstrated record of high academic achievement and outstanding leadership.
